Could I ask for a better rainy Saturday?

Today was the day... the day I got to see X3 and it was spectacular. Ok, that's not quite true, but it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the reviews I read. I don't think it was as good as either of the first 2, but it was highly entertaining. Can't wait for X4!!!

I also saw Nine Inch Nails perform at the Clark County Amphitheatre. Totally slipped my mind that an amphitheatre was outside, but luckily we lawn-ticket holders got to sit in the last 5 rows. It was too far from the stage, but the show was still great.

I had posted on craigslist to share a ride to the show. I also found a few people that needed rides. One guy, Tony, needed a ride, so we met and it was good to go. Long story short, he told me 10 seconds too late he needed a ride back to Gresham (~20 miles out of my way, at least) so I could have saved a few miles. Then, he only had $2 for gas. Freakin' figures. From now on, if you want a ride, pay me up front!

Da Code

Well, I saw the Da Vinci Code tonight. I didn't really like it. Ok, I did like it, but I think I only liked the story. The acting was, imho, not nearly as good as either Audrey Tautou or Tom Hanks are capable of performing. I think the dialogue didn't lend itself well to good acting. It was formulaic and wholly predictable.

(spoiler alert)
And when Tom Hanks told Audrey Tautou she was the living heir of Jeebus, I actually started laughing. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooof couse...

Lobster sticks to magnet

If you don't know what it means, then find out

Brian's dad sent out an email with a bunch of sweet sidewalk chalk drawings. I had sent my mom the artist's site years ago and she kept the link. This guy is REALLY good. Kinda hard to imagine what type of spatial skills, let alone artistic talents, are necessary to successfully paint some of that stuff.

And, I up and went to a concert last night. The Rogers Sisters opened up for I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness and I enjoyed both thoroughly. I bought the Sisters' cd, and while I didn't get Chosen's, I do think they're a fantastic "live" band.

Tomorrow I'll go see X3, which I'm stoked about. And Saturday... Nine Inch Nails. I have a good weekend coming up!

best 3 hrs of TV in my life

I just got done watching the season finale of Grey's Anatomy. Hands down the best TV since... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiince... that one time they showed a porno on cable for free. I gotta say, when my brother emailed me to remind me that tonight's episode was 2 hours long, I felt proud, like I taught him well. Now, if only the season premiere was next week!
