Almost worried

Last night, while bouldering, I heard a pop in the knuckle of my left middle finger, when I re-adjusted on a hold. It hurt, but it was on the top of the knuckle, so I figured I didn't pop a tendon. It's a little swollen this morning, but not too bad. I'm hoping to head up to Squamish in a few weeks, so I'd rather not be injured!

Great week climbing

Last Monday... flashed v5, v6 second try
Tuesday, flashed 5.11 (a/b ish)
Thursday, flashed 5.11 (c at least, if not d)
Chilled over the weekend
Today, v6 on first REAL try and did a v5 first try (only tried it once before)

all in all, I'm psyched!

Reggae on the River, 2006

Well, Reggae was hella fun
We left last Thursday at midnight (we shot for 6pm but that didn't happen!) and Brian drove for 6 hours. We slept, then drove the other few hours after meeting up with Yosh and his crew.

The campground was really nice. Even though it was close to the highway, it was quiet. It was just a short walk to the river, though we only hung out on the river on Sunday.

Friday night... good music. Sean Paul got on late, and really wasn't that good. I'm sure he'd be better in a club. Heavyweight Dub Champion was supposed to close but got pushed back to Saturday. Lucky for me really. HDC was awesome. Probably the best shit there. I'll be purchasing their CD very soon.

Saturday was good also. I took a 3 hour nap while the others played hold'em. We played keep-away with the frisbee for a while too, which was hella fun. That night at the site, Andy, Nathan and I watched a drum circle and some people dancing African style for a while. There was a lot of dust being kicked up but it was cool to see people having fun to some cool African beats.

Sunday we chilled on the river by the campground. It was nice to just relax in the warm water. Nathan and Yosh saw a snake while crossing and snapped a few pics. The highlights of the music were Stephen and Ziggy Marley. Stephen has great stage presence but ran off at a point because of (what I think were) technical difficulties. Ziggy crushed it, but we actually left before he finished.

The drive home on Monday was relatively quick. I drove most of the way then Nathan drove the last bit. He liked Brian's truck. Who doesn't?

I uploaded the pics, and I'm trying to upload the videos of Stephen and Ziggy, but they're not going. Soon.

next year, same time, same place, good music, great friends, one hell of a time!
