I've been meaning to write

but I haven't. Nathan and my mom moved here on Tuesday. I looked at a house today, and I'm thinking of buying it (if I get approved for that much!)

Nathan and I have a kayaking safety/rescue course tomorrow and Sunday. Should be fun, and I'm sure we'll learn a lot. His friend Jordan is visiting too. Fun stuff!

my first open letter is coming

it'll be about a guy, a guy that picked a fight with me at a basketball game. No, not in high school... tonight. And what's really kinda funny? I have it on video. Soon.

Heartburn sucks

or whatever I have going on... freakin' 4:30 in the morning and my stomach is on fire!

Fighting at Hooters

Normally I wouldn't go to Hooters. Tacky and still unrefined, and the food doesn't agree with me.

However, they do get the UFC fights, so of course I had to go. Tonight's Rivals was mediocre at best. While Ortiz did punish Shamrock in less than 2 minutes, I was disappointed in the ref's stoppage. I've seen fighters get pounded worse than that and come back to win.

Sylvia vs Arlovski was almost boring. It went to decision after 5 rounds of dicking around. I feel that Arlovski could have won if he took Sylvia down but he stayed up pretty much the whole time. Whatever...

Then we went to the Dolphin II. Slow when we got there but it picked up. Cute girls, pretty good music... a strip club is a stip club is a strip club.

Now it's time to get some rest before the World Cup championship tomorrow. Adidas is hosting a viewing down in Pioneer Square so that should be fun. But maybe I'll just watch it from the comfort of my couch.

Ok, I know I just posted, but then I saw this on slashdot: Physics of Superman. It's an entertaining read.

water, hot, hot water

A while ago a co-worker told me someone had harnessed nuclear fusion to make a welding machine that ran off water. I didn't believe him, of course, but the technology he was talking about was pretty freakin' cool nonetheless. Denny Klein worked on a process to turn water into a combustible gas, which I thought couldn't happen. I was wrong.

Hydrogen Technology Applications has a working welder that was showcased in this news clip. Take a look and let your jaw drop. It's ok. Here's the patent too.

We'll also have to see how well the water-powered Hummer goes over for the government. Hopefully this technology will help alleviate even a little dependence on oil. Wouldn't that be swell?

Imminent Redesign

that's if I actually design something I like, and then can make it happen. I'm, how do you say, not so artistic. We'll see what happens!

If you have the extra change between your cushions, you should think about getting one of these new, fancy beds. Of course, you won't be able to sleep because you'll be fearing the breaking of the guide cables and your bed shooting out of your 20th story apartment window, only to crash to the ground.

Ok, maybe not.

I did install Visual Task Tips today and it's pretty cool. Not quite as cool as Expose or anything but still neat.
